FOOD CITY is a chinese supermarket in White Plains, New York. It is listed at 134 S Lexington Ave, White Plains, NY 10606, which places it among the local businesses of White Plains that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 AM–9 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach FOOD CITY at (914) 358-9115; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, foodemporium.keyfood.com.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 229 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

The employees don’t comply with the supposed schedule they take people out at 8:40 pm they don’t care if people finished doing their shopping or not and they don’t let anyone else in anymore at 8:45 the gentleman who is at the door said the cashiers had gone very everything very badly

Absolute trash customer service. Selling expired product not one but manny found in store with even visible slack of stock. upon purchase a family member bought some expired cheese who did not know it was expired since lable was covered. expecting to come back to receive an exchange but received a rude no upon arrival from the manager not the cashier sweet lady. Claiming they have a return policy which is understandable but doh standerd mandate return upon expired items no matter there return policy. I have reported this establishment to both the ftc and better business borough from these experiences. And I’m glad I did cause this is defiantly not the first time. Don’t believe me read the other reviews customers have added talking about there expensive expired product. Again only reason I’m really writing this is cause my family was visiting from the city and wanted to buy stuff down my block but never again. Btw if they do the same thing my lawyer said best choice is just it talk to the bank to request a refund if you used a card upon purchase.

Expensive on some items but they always have the meat I want for reasonable prices. Steaks and short ribs are alway sliced too thin though. The staff is friend and accommodating. Quick service too. When they have a sale it is a good one too.

Is very convenient but the prices are extremely high . They do have a lot of variety and a lot of items which I absolutely love . But I find myself spending more each time for the same items every visit . Although I do enjoy there weekly special deal tags ! And they are always organized and fully stocked !

For the idiot who thought this is the place to buy dog food when there’s Petco in Hartsdale πŸ˜‚. I go to this place for meat products it’s cheaper than HMart and they have good quality not so brolic chicken here. I usually always get the natural looking πŸ‘€ smaller boned quarter legs they don’t look brolic and injected with much antibiotics. I get the pork bellies cheaper than at shoprite, stop and shop or Hmart. The vegetables are okay I don’t buy much of their greens apple farm still has cheaper options but hmart had the most greens πŸ₯¬ veggies that I like. I always notice that the aisles are always clean and the products are always filled up as if it never runs out. One day I was looking for liver spread and they do not have it. There’s plenty of free parking space inside and paid meter on south Lexington if you don’t feel like parking inside and on a rush like me. They also have hot foods serving and plated dishes. I used to buy them it’s too salty for my taste.
